What happens if a class is canceled?
Before the Start of The Session:
Calliope will cancel a class only if enrollment is insufficient, and this is the only time we can issue a refund. The student will be notified and will receive a refund or credit within 30 days of the start of class.
Once the Session is Underway:
We always have access to Winchester Thurston, whether the school is open or not. Teachers will use their own discretion in deciding whether to hold classes during inclement weather. If a teacher cancels a class, the instructor will inform students by phone and/or email at least three hours before class starts.
In the unlikely event that Calliope must cancel classes, we will notify students and teachers by email and/or phone. We will do our best to provide a make-up class if a class is canceled for any reason, but we cannot guarantee one.
