Banjo I: Clawhammer

The clawhammer style of banjo is a traditional Appalachian Mountain style sometimes called frailing or rapping. Learn the basic right hand frailing technique while you learn tunes on the banjo. Students will learn tunes by listening, and tablature will also be provided. Left hand techniques and chording will be covered, and we will learn and work in several basic banjo tunings. This is a great class for those who have taken Banjo I: Five String and want to continue banjo instruction, for those who have played some banjo on their own and want to learn clawhammer style, or for those who are beginners on the banjo.
