Beginning Guitar 1: Guitar from Scratch
This class is suitable for true beginners as well as those with some beginner-level experience who are looking to knock the rust off and start learning again.
We will cover the basic skills of playing and maintaining your acoustic guitar—from tuning and changing strings to basic chords, strumming, and singing along. By the end of the 8-week class, those who attend consistently generally have a handle on the 8 most common 1st position chords as well as a handful of tasteful songs to sing and play.
No experience or music reading ability is necessary: material will be taught by demonstration and repetition.
All you need is determination and a tunable guitar.
Also recommended: a notepad and a clip-on guitar tuner.

Refunds, Pro-rates and Cancellation Policy: Refunds will only be issued if Calliope cancels a class due to insufficient enrollment. If that happens, you will be notified in advance and will receive a refund or credit within 30 days from the start of class. No refunds will be given to those who cancel their registration within 2 days before a class starts or after class begins. Classes may not be pro-rated; please plan accordingly.
