Beginning / Intermediate Appalachian Dulcimer (Winter)

Are you ready for the sweet sound of the dulcimer?
Are you ready for the sweet sound of the dulcimer?  This class will focus on the essentials you need to enjoy playing your Appalachian (Mountain) Dulcimer. Students will learn different tunings, as well as both strumming (with and without picks) and finger-picking techniques. Emphasis will be placed on tailoring the lessons to the individual student’s abilities.  Students will also learn how to take a simple tune, embellish it (“fill in the spaces”), and make it their own.
*Please note: this class will be held at the instructor’s home in Squirrel Hill. The time and day of this class can be tailored to fit the student’s needs. Please contact Bob at bfaganassoc1@verizon.net to make arrangements.
You will receive an email with the address prior to the start of class.
