Pittsburgh Steel Guitar Jam in the Roots Cellar
December 3 @ 7:30 pm
The Pittsburgh Steel Guitar Jam is Back! Originally founded by Leah McPhail, this event is made for steel guitar players and appreciators alike. Now headed up by Tucker Muetzel and Harper Reese, this jam will act as a meet-up for all kinds of steel players (i.e pedal steel, lap steel, dobro, etc.) as well as a show for those interested in the instrument and the music on which it’s featured
The evening will include a house band slinging all kinds of country, folk, and blues tunes featuring some of Pittsburgh’s best steel guitar players.
If you are interested in participating in the jam, you can contact ethanmuetzel@gmail.com to request a specific song you’d like to solo on. Not sure if you want to play? You can still bring your steel guitar just to experience the joy of being surrounded by the community of players.
